Suppose you have a video in 4 parts. What can you do to put them into one full video for an video iPod?

You can download Windows Movie Maker 2, free from download.com, this allows you to put different parts of media together, including videos, pictures and audio files.
You simply merge the videos together on the time line, and save the file.

Now with iPod i'm sure they'll convert it from Windows Media Video format, since they do with the Mac's when your web-browsing. It'll make it into some weird iPod format. Use the "iTunes" program its designed to be very easy to use, and I believe it can do the conversion.

Divx can stitch together parts of a video provided they are all recorded at the same FPS (frames per second). There is a limited period free download of their software you can try but make a back up of your videos first. As for transferring to an Ipod, no idea.

xilisoft dvd to ipod may help or their mp4 convertor.

on your search engine just look avi to ipod convertor

i use cucusoft AVI to VCD DVD MPEG Creator Pro
it lets you put serval clips on and merge them together

You splice them. It's been years since I .. spliced and then it was audio tape in a recording studio so techniques and technology have probably advanced quite a bit.
