Been trying to conceive for 3 years without any luck. I'm very fit and healthy, and i've already had a child with the same partner 10 years ago. We have been stressed out, but there are no other medical problems. I've tried ovulation tests to work out the right times, and i've tried following my monthly cycle. I'm now using the thermometre, but no luck as let. Would love to have another baby, but we're not obsessive.

I do know that secondary infertility can occur for a number of reasons. Have you been to your doctor to check your thyroid? Thyroid disease can often take years to affect a person, and infertility is one way. I had tried for my first child for 3 years, was finally diagnosed with a thyroid disorder, began medication and the first time my levels tested normal, I found out I was pregnant!

Just a suggestion, but see your doctor and see what he/she has to say! Good luck and I hope it happens for you soon!

It may be possible that your partner has changed. A simple semen analysis can tell you if his sperm has changed or maybe something happened where his sperm count is zero. Stress is a major factor in men who have infertility issues. It will wipe all of them out of his system and it takes quite a while for new ones to replace them.

Suggestion is to see your doctor and have them run a small series of tests. Have them check your thyroid to make sure that is functioning properly. Good luck!

Since you've already tried charting your monthly cycle and bbt maybe its time to see your ob/gyn. They'll probably do a blood test to check your hormone levels. Then you'll know where you stand. If you're really serious about conceiving again you might even want to discuss something to push you along like clomid. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you luck! Gigi
