My two favorite resources for agents are "Writer's Market" and their book the "Guide to Literary Agents". Both have extremely helpful information and listings.
If you find a name and want to do some research, start by checking out Preditors and Editors to see if they are recommended:

See who's the agent for people who write the same kinds of books that you write .. look the authors up on the internet .. usually that kind of information is given ..
