-South Africa is in southern Africa, and Nigeria is located in West Africa.
-Nigeria contains 1/6 of every citizen of the African continent (highest population in Africa)
-South Africa has a larger AIDS problem
-South Africa underwent apartheid, while northern Nigeria opperates under Sharia law
-South Africa is considered to be a developed nation, while Nigeria is a developing nation known for being corrupt (although Obasanjo successfully stopped a lot of corruption, but much work still needs to be done)
-Nigeria is an oil-rich nation and a member of OPEC, while South Africa is known for its diamonds
