neoantidisestablishmentarianism
proneoantidisestablishmentarianism
contreproneoantidisestablishmentarianism
contreproneoantidisestablishmentarianismists
This can go on forever in English.
Of course the trick is knowing what on earth these impossibly long words mean.

Being an English teacher, I want to settle this issue once and for all. There is no such thing as a longest word. Any word, with a little modification, can be made longer than some other word. Do bear in mind, though, that most people cannot focus on a single word for more than 5 seconds, continuously -- and then only if the other words are shorter.Using a long series of long words is counter-productive and also counter-intuitive. The basic idea behind writing or speaking is to convey meaning quickly, clearly, and comprehensively. This means that people should normally only use words that are commonly known, short, and whose meaning is totally clear when seen (or heard) in the proper context. For instance, you COULD say that you are "antidisestablishmentarianism" but most people would understand you much better and faster if you were to say, instead, that you are the kind of person who is not in favour of challenging normal laws and rules.

PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS also spelled PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOKONIOSIS) = a lung disease caused by breathing in particles of siliceous volcanic dust.
This is the longest word in any English dictionary. However, it was coined by Everett Smith, the President of The National Puzzlers' League, in 1935 purely for the purpose of inventing a new "longest word". The Oxford English Dictionary described the word as factitious. Nevertheless it also appears in the Webster's, Random House, and Chambers dictionaries.

Smiles is a longer word. Between the two "s"s there is a mile. I´m sorry it is an old joke.
It won´t happen again.

Nope; not longest.
Check with the OED - The Oxford English Dictionary - that is the accepted "expert".
floccinaucinihilipilification
pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism
pneumoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoniosis - the technical name for "Black Lung" (the disease that coal miners get)
