Just running the faucets will get the air out. Let the air escape slowly to prevent getting splattered and possibly blowing your aerators off. However, if you continually have air in your lines then I assume you are on a well and it is a sign that your tank has become full of air. You can remedy this by turning off your pump, letting your system drain down completely and then turning everything back on. While you may not get the exact ratio of air and water in your tank, it will solve your problem until you can get a pro to set up your system properly.

Good Luck!

Why get it out? Once you have flowed at a maximum rate, bubbles should stop coming out. Air that remains in the system helps stop water hammer, the knocking noise one sometimes hears.

If you are hearing knocking noises, turn off the water at the source and drain the piping. This may stop the noise. If it does not, you can make air chambers out of copper pipe. These would be a foot or so long, mounted vertically. You could put them near clothes washers, as these use water at a pretty high rate, and shut off suddenly.

Just leave some of the taps on for a while, when the water starts flowing smoothly, means that air is out.

The high pitched noise heard every time we flushed the toilet gave us a scare, however it disappeared within a month, and no penny was wasted. Which is a rare occurrence. However, if you know something we don't and should, please share. Thx
