Latinos are Caucasian or "white". Spain is in Europe.
Thirty percent of Mexico is white, and most of the rest are mixed white and Indian (native american, er shall I say native Mexican).
There are a few that came from other parts of the world as well, there were slaves and they have the occasional immigrant or Frenchman or even a Yankee or two...
Mexican is a nationality, not a race, just like American or Canadian is.

I don't know what his mother's name was, but she was white. I am probably wrong.
