Babies are pretty tough inside the womb--as long as you didn't fall down a flight of stairs or anything baby should be ok. If you are still really concerned (any mom would be) you can easily go to the birthing unit and they will hook you up to a monitor and watch the baby's movements to see if things are ok--they will see the heartbeat and anything else. If it was just the puppy's paw, and not the entire weight then you are probably ok. You could also phone a health line or your doctor's office to make sure. Good luck!!

Hi
I am 32 weeks pregnant and about a month and a half ago i fell over a rolled up carpet full on to my front. i was concerned and phoned the midwife. she re-assured me that unless i had abdominal pain, felt no movement (whch you may not feel at the moment anyhoo) or had any of the other signs, bleeding cramps etc i should be fine. and that the baby is in a big sack of water. to be honest unless you experience anything out of the ordinary you will be absolutely fine. (i was totally fine by the way, except that i moved my sacrum iliac in my back... this was fine after a couple of sessions of yoga) i have a 3 year old who is also always sitting on my belly or accidently elbowing me etc. remember how safe guarded your baby is. x

Everything is probably OK.
Most dogs are pretty well built and there is nothing wrong with your dog.
Just to be on the safe side, take the puppy to the vet.
When the puppy landed on your belly, the baby may have kicked it and given the dog some internal injuries that are not obvious.

My dog did the exact same thing when I was 18weeks and I actually spotted a lil bit so we went to the ER and they did all kinds of blood work, U/S- the works and she was fine! Actually when they did the U/S she was kicking her feet and sucking her thumb! Lol! better safe than sorry tho no1 would fault u 4 overreacting thats what expectant mommies are supposed to do. Good Luck and protect urself from that doggie of urs. That's what I do now, cover my belly.

This happened to me too, except that I was having twins and my dog weighed 90 lbs. But the baby is so well cushioned inside of you that only really bad hits to your stomach will injure your baby. If your still nervous, mention it to your obgyn on your next visit. But everything should be fine.

Your baby is surrounded safely by a bag of amiotic waters which acts like a cushion. So I'm sure baby is fine. Talk with your doc of you have any concerns of pain, bleeding, etc.

you and your baby should be ok. my mom has a big dog boxer/mastiff mix that weighs 95-100 pounds and a couple of weeks ago he was all feisty and jumped up on me. he got my belly and scratched it ,no blood just red mark scratched and everything is ok with me and my baby.good luck.
