when i got my computer i got it from circuit city and they put a ant-virus and shy sweeper thingy on it and when i got it home my computer ran really slow so i to it back and they gave me a new one because i didnt know what made it run slow. if i got a new ant-virus or put a spy sweeper on my computer will it make it run slower. i still have the spy sweeper but not the ant-virus. could i put the spy sweeper on my computer

the spy sweeper does NOT stop or look for viruses
you need an anti virus, just because the last one slowed your PC does not mean another one will - try a different one

the speed issue is more likely because of your internet provider versus the spyware or anitvirus you run. Contact the provider to see if you can upgrade the speed. Norton will make your computer seem to run slower, however, since you paid for it use it.
If your provider can not upgrade the speed consider getting rid of the Norton. Free antivirus programs are available at the CNET.com webpage under the download section. Two that do not slow you down are AVG and Antivira AntiVir. Both are free and update themselves daily. They can also be set to scan at different times daily. Good Luck.

If it came with norton antivirus it makes computers a little slow because it requires so much to make it run. Is it just slow on start up like about 3-5 minutes to completely load everything or longer? because that is normal when running norton.

just get the free antivirus program
download windows defender from microsoft
and trash spy sweeper
