It is generally believed that Indian women are oppressed and all that stuff and nobody speaks out. But tell you what.....they seem to have accepted what their society demands and might be comfortable with it. So there is really nothing much you can do unless they raise their voices and cry out for help.
What I think is that the learned Indian women are the ones with the power to help out their sisters.

We can only be an example and be positive role models. They are a different culture with different beliefs and values. Just accept them for who they are. Perhaps there's not much we can do for all women of India. I think its on an individual basis, and it one asks for help, then help them.
