you are an 8 but you lack speed except for patteson so id drop edmonds and get chris duffy or kenny lofton and grab a pitcher like clay hensley

Your offense is pretty strong but there is no reason to carry 5 guys on the bench. I would drop Edmonds as he is showing his age and is very injury prone. Pierzynski may actually wind up being the better option at C this year so hold onto him. Nick Johnsonis going to start the year on the DL I believe. Hold onto Freel just for steals and Mora is expendable.
Pitching you have a few guys I really like in Verlander and Lackey. Lackey is going to be #2 to Santana in the Cy Young race in the AL this year. With the spots opened up by dropping Mora and Edmonds I would add 2 more SP. Your going to be without Pedro until probably mid June to July so you definitley need to fill his starting spot. Hopefully you have a DL spot to put him in so you can add another P as well. And keep an eye on the waiver wire for guys who become closers, you may need to add some insurance in that spot because both of your guys are injury prone.
Overall your team is about a 6 because of the Pitching. Pick up a few guys and you could easily be bumped up to a 7 or 8.

6.5. Your hitting is fine but your pitching is very, very questionable. Lackey and Kazmir are "supposed" be good this year. Isringhausen had a sky high ERA last year and is showing signs he his out of gas. Gagne, Martinez, and Verlander are injury ridden. If I were you I would while its still early trade one of your hitters for a good pitcher. By the way you really don't have any base stealers either.

You have some good hitters but pitching is somewhat questionable. I give you a 6.
