The remainders of what we had before we got evolved from our ancestors.

Usually? I think I'm hungry.

All kidding aside, human beings, like any other animal, have specific tools it uses to survive. Some animals have sharp claws, some have poison, some build intricate traps, and are very fast.

People survive by observing the world, building tools to accomplish certain ends, and acting on these goals. Our mental life (rational thought and creativity) were exceptionally important to our survival, and our ability to create complex novel sentences allows us to pass on this knowledge. So, we've never stopped performing these basic functions, which have built up, over quite a long period of time, the sum of all human knowledge. We're at the point where these actions are (usually) no longer necessary to survive, but our instincts don't bother guaging this evolution. As long as there are human beings, there will be a drive to understand more of the world.

Also, because our mental lives are so woven into being human (and because any psychological event is, in itself, a biological event), we seek, as a species, other forms of expressing the actions that led to our survival. It isn't really all that surprising that we've found millenia old painting, or that we decored pottery, or that music exists, in some form, in virtually every culture. It's because we've formed concepts about the world, and use these means to communicate them in concrete forms.

I can only think of one reason why animal instinct in humans can be more than an excuse for bad behavior, and that is a mother protecting their child.

When most say their animal instincts have taken over it is more them trying to excuse a behavior that society deems unacceptable.

Man/woman or human is an animal to start with, physically very weak compared to other species. Due to this weaker trait, the human developed the basic instinct o jealousy, distinguishing it from other species. Once, jealousy was installed in this species, it developed what is now called rationality and so on. saety, allowed some animal instincts in human die. One can still find such instincts in tribals living with animals in dense forests. For example they can read faces; it was a necessity for them, though we use them as ortune tellers. I accept animal instincts in humans as true.

William Golding has already given a sufficient answer to this principle. We are all inherently evil, or animalistic, and when put under the proper circumstances, all good things shall wither and be crushed under the weight of that which is cruel. In the end, Good will only triumph if it has withstood the pressures and temptations of the wicked.

My own opinion on this is rather unimportant, but that is what I think of when I hear or see something concerning "Animal Instincts in Humans."

THIS, AND ALL OF MY OTHER ANSWERS, ARE NOT POLITICALLY BASED.

Well, humans are mammals, and we often react with instinctive actions. Sometimes we use our reasoning power, too, and we avoid instinctive behavior, but often we do not. I just understand it to be a part of our nature.

I think it just means you have good instinct. Animals are smart and usually can sense people and fear. I would take it as a compliment.
