do think its stupid for country boys who are not cowboys to wear cowboy hats

Not at all. I just wish they would respect taking them off when entering a building, church and movie theaters like other men do.

I live in Missouri, and I can honestly say there is nothing more rediculous than an old man pretending to be a cowboy, but I see it all the time. Even worse are the young people who think they're cowboys, and yet haven't ever been around a cow.

Not at all. Cowboy hats provide more shade from the sun than say, a ballcap, would.
