very reliable. only common problem was a main wiring harness plug that is located under the vehcile directly under the driver seat and it gets moisture in it and causes strange electrical problems and usually an abs light or a sevice engine light. pull that plug and clean it really good and dry it out with air and grease it with some dielectric grease. other that that, the azteks didnt have any major problems.

We are seeing head gasket problems with the 01 and 02 model yrs.. but not so much the 04s they worked out most of the electrical bugs out by 03..I know they are not the best looking thing out there.. but still ride better than the any other GM car out there now..I can honestly say other than head gaskets and intake gaskets..and front wheel bearings not a real problem vehicle ..But if you can handle the looks get an extended warranty with it..I also recommed the tent option If you are the outdoors type!!

Hardly believe people are still buying Aztek nowadays. Just wondering the person who came out with this design is really "unbelievable" smart.
My co-worker owns it for about 2 yrs now, and she like the comfort but she said that the potential buyer may need to watch out for the sharp edges on this car when you drive/park in narrow/busy street, to avoid hitting others. Can't comment enough this ugliest car on the planet...Did you run out of choice and still wanna get this thing?

This car was the brunt of more jokes about GM than perhaps any other. Since they are nearly impossble to re-sell, I hope you really like it if you buy it. And, yes like many GM vehicles the reliability is poor. Check Edmunds or Consumer Reports.

Never had one, but I often wondered what could possibly promote drinking and driving more other than installing a removable cooler next to the driver's seat?
