Please explain to me how we were in an economic depression and in a police state. My life was quite well back then.

Dude, the Clinton years were some good years for those of who work for a living. I'd love to have them thar days back.

Well, they arrested a grandfather for wearing a tshirt protesting the war, and they tortured political prisoners just like the nazis and... Oh wait... that was under Bush. Sorry.
