I am 25 and for 4 years my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant. We found out i had a septated uterus, and had that fixed, then we found out my thyroid was too fast and got that fixed. Next we found out i had one maybe two blocked tubes and got that fixed. The dr.s cant find anything else wrong with me, but they just decided to test my husband and his all came back low, count, motility and morphology. He has an appt. with the urologist. So i am just worried that we will never get pregnant. Because I worry that with the low morphology that they cant fix that. And I also worry what is going to go wrong next? I have been on clomid for 7 times, over the last 3 years and have done 2 IUI's. Does anybody have advice? or had similiar situations? or success stories?

Wish I could give you all the answers you want but unfortunately I don't. We tried for a year and saw a specialist. My husbands sperm came back as zero TWICE. He went thru the urologist appt and they found nothing. Then they sent him in for another semen analysis. This time they found sperm. I'm not certain if the movement of the sperm changes with time but there are things you can do to improve sperm counts. Eating healthy, avoid stress, sauna/hot tubs, alcohol and tobacco, stay away from ibuprophen and switch to boxers! Its sounds crazy but it does help.

As far as your IUI, didn't they test your hubbys sperm before you went thru that??? We just went thru an IVF class and even though your husbands sperm isn't "ideal", it doesn't mean you will never have a child. They can inject your eggs with his sperm and transfer them back into your uterus. That may be what it takes. If all esle fails, they also have donor sperm that you could use. They can find a match that closely resembles your husbands features. I have a friend whose husband didn't have any sperm and that is what they did. She got pregnant on the second IUI and is expecting in July.

All I can say is don't give up!! Infertitly is the most stressful thing I've ever had to deal with. I suggest going to webmd.com and join one of the TTC boards. They are going thru the same things as we are and there are -unfortunately-several people who have similiar issue. Good luck!
