PS3 or WII?

Question

Which one should I go for? I'm a bit of a girl when it comes to gaming, I have a game cube and love games like Zelda and Pickmin. Sould I upgrade to a WII or keep my Game Cube and cross over to PS3?

It depends what kind of gaming you enjoy. Your going to get much better graphics on the PS3 as well as totally different type of games. The Wii is going to be aimed more at obscure type game play, which isnt a bad thing, its just toally different then anything we've seen so far. The PS3 will be more the traditional console game type.

I hessitate to tell you to get a Wii only because Im still very bitter about the gamecube and the void of games that came onto that system. The Wii is not as powerful graphically as the 360 or PS3, its game library will not be as large but it does have the most unique gameplay we've ever seen.

I have a 360 right now and I'm looking at getting a Wii long before I get a PS3, that price tag is just a bit too strong for me.

Go with the Wii, IF you can get one and here is why. . .:

Library, The Wii has a better library, especially if you like stuff for the game cube and games like zelda. Keep in mind the Wii can play game cube games and has ports for game cube controlers, so you're out nothing and all of this for a mere 250.

Now consider the PS3, there are fewer games on it and unless you actually know you like one of them already, probably not much you're actually interested in playing. Considering that it costs over twice what a wii costs, you're best bet is getting the wii now and getting the ps3 later when it has games you actually want and maybe has a cheaper price tag.

i would say go with a Wii. the PS3 is just more of the same youve been playing for years, while the Wii is a whole NEW way to play. i mean, this is the THIRD video game generation in which sony is using the SAME controller design! and graphics, smaphics... the Wii is pure fun. i have call of duty 3, and the moment you play a decent first person shooter with the Wiimote you will NEVER be able to go back to a standard controller. i also just picked up the godfather- blackhand edition , and you use the Wiimote and nunchuck as your left and right hands respectively to rough up gansters! Those are things other consoles could NEVER do.at less then half the price, and with an exponentially higher fun factor, Go with the Wii.

I'd say ps3, more than half the people that are telling you to get the wii don't even have it they're just saying it because they "hear" the wii is better. my cousin has it and he says it was a waste of money, you play it for a half hour then it turns off and doesn't work. the wii is overrated. Sony makes way better game systems I've had my ps2 and psp forever and I'm getting a ps3 for my birthday. I'd say keep your Game Cube and get a ps3 but it's your choice not ours.

I have a PS3 and i love it
when i bought it the store couldent belive i wnated a PS3
cus they where getting a wii....... the wii is the dumbest thing i have ever seen its for kids... you have to stand the hole time you play sounds great to me N OT the PS3 is also a blue ray
well all the games are blue ray If i was you i would get a PS3

if i were you i'd get neither for the time being. give ps3 a few months to come down in price and then get that. there are only so many games you can make for the wii, ps3 will keep on giving, even if it costs a bomb.

ARE U CRAZYYYYYY!!!!! lol. ps3 is like much better for only £425 with blue ray compatability its a bargain. a blue ray dvd player costs £1000. BUT. if u wanna play games like Zelda then u should buy the wii, its cheap great fun and amazing games like zelda are also quite cheap to buy. IF ANYONE ELSE NEEDS ANYTHING ANSWERED ON GAMES CONSOLES OR GAMES IM THE ONE TO ASK LOL

Hands down....go with the Wii.....even if the graphics are less then the PS3 you get so much more game options.....still both are better then the N64

The Wii is the most different, and far more affordable. PS3 looks good but too pricey and if you already have PS2 the accessories are not compatible......... real rip off yet again.

PS3s are sucking so bad it isn't even funny, go with the Nintendo Wii. It's much cheaper and much more fun. $600 for the PS3 isn't worth it when you don't get anything.
