What would make you vote for a third party candidate?

If there was a viable third party candidate who actually had a chance at winning the oval office what would make you vote for him or her?

you know - I would be glad to see someone not from the major parties - - someone with just a little common sense who is not so geared into the system that the lies just come out naturally - - you know - if they say something stupid, it is a joke gone wrong, kind of deal.. I'm tired of them - -

so, how come we get 50 candidates to choose from for Miss America and only 2 for president?

The fact that the Democrats always back out of a fight with the Republicans. The fact that the Republicans always back out of a trial with the Democrats.
Healthcare is at stake, lives are at stake with the Iraq War, and education is at stake. The Democrats and Republicans had decades to stabilize programs. If the other two choices were all wrong. I see this happening in 2008. I'm a conservative, but if my only two choices are Hillary or Guiliani, I'm gonna vote for somebody else, like Mike Huckabee, if he ran as an independent.

This happened in my state of PA in 2004. Republican Arlen Specter was running against a liberal democrat, but Specter might have been even more liberal than his opponent. I was rooting for another guy that only lost in the primaries by a little bit.

A conservative democratic independent that was pro-life and would continue to support Israel. I like the democratic parties' policies on health care and economy over republicans, but do not want tax dollars funding abortions.
