I hear plenty of comments like "Saddam was a evil dictator" from republicans. And yet throughout history conservative americans have appointed equally "evil" dictators. How would a conservative morally justify that?
Besides "he's an SOB, but he's our SOB." That's just wrong right there.

lol most of you don't know I was referring to all the conservative dictators we appointed...not liberal ones. Because there haven't been liberal ones. Only one guy has answered what the protocal is for appointing and overthrowing these dictators.

plain and simple, on some level there is lots of large corporate money to be made in starting one war to put someone into power and then have a crusade to remove them a few years later.
anyone ever wonder why the cons hate france so irrationally - it's business - purely.
france had lots of business ties with saddam, that would be french corporations not american ones (not that american corporations like haliburton are really american anymore).
the republican hatred of france is purely about greed.
that's your family values party for you - stoking up racial hatred in the name of the quarterly stock report...
oh and to the guy who thinks that 9/11 is saddam's fault - stop your outright lies - everyone in the world knows that 9/11 was planned, manned, funded and executed by SAUDI ARABIANS.
cons 'play' at being tough with everything but saudi arabia and it's high time americans started asking why.
why do cons simply refuse to believe that saudi arabia was behind 9/11 - americans need to know this - we need to know this for our very existence.
if the first 9/11 was planned and done by saudis - most likely the second one is being planned there right now - because the saudi terror machine is able to do their work without being bothered by the so-called war on terror.
the war in iraq is a sideshow that is keeping america from the real problems.
don't let these liars tell you otherwise...

Sorry, but the US does not appoint governments of other countries. We have supported them in the past, yet liberals have the history of supporting and appeasing the worst of them (Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc...) And wasn't it the Dems who kept telling us to negotiate with Saddam. If you want to bring up how we worked with Saddam against Iran, you better be able to defend your appeasement strategy for dealing with him as well.

Wow...and perhaps you've conveniently forgotten democratic support of dictators like Haile Selassie and Pinochet or Daniel Ortega and the Cia money that funded Bin Laden....once again another liberal in need of a fact checker...yawn.....

It seems funny to me that you have not heard 1 Democrat say "saddam was an evil dictator" or maybe you are just stereotyping and bashing Republicans.

This was done through out time by both parties. The reason is that government civil servant in the intelligence community and state department assist in the advice.
Remember, elected officials come and go but career civil service employees stay.
Why are you blaming the republicans again?

it shouldn't matter what political affiliation anyone is... what's wrong is wrong. there's been scores of "evil" dictators throughout history. mankind is not best served by those with means to idly stand by with a blind eye and deaf ear.

you can't honestly compare saddam who killed millions of innocent civilians to an american president . I would like to see your example of an "evil" american president that has killed millions of civilians , and be sure not to mention any wars that soldiers died in , congress has to approve that .
liberalism is a mental disorder
