I look at it this way if we don't who is left to control? Cause there is always someone around trying to takeover the world, most of those don't want freedom for anyone they want to starve peopleor just kill them off. The Communists used to be the problem .I still think they are to some extent. People arelooking more at the Moslems imposing their faith and enslaving the women and children. That is becoming a real possiblity in Europe all ready.
Freedom isn't free and the US can't control the whole world either, but the little parts we got gives people opportunities to have their own business, home and food on the table for their families.

The United States doesn't "want to control the world," as you put it. It does want to ensure that its national security is secure. The U.S. has been attacked by moslum extremists for more than 35 years, and this threat has culminated with the attack on our soil on the World Trade Center in 1993 and again 2001. The U.S. is simply responding to this continued threat. Anyone who tells you otherwise has no clue about the real world.

It would be nice if everyone got along, but this is not the case, there are those out there who want to murder you and your family just because you disagree with them. The U.S. wants to be sure those fanatical murderers are stopped as quickly as possible.

Because they know they are a powerful nation. But also there are neighboring countries that if united can be a deadly threat......USA logo should go something like this:
"Keep ur friends close and ur enenies closer".

For ex: Europe is a powerfuk continent, and for a while
Europe been trying to become the Europe Union that would be like the Europe States, makiing the countries in them into states, this would greatly affect the USA, because not only
would USA be defeated militarily, economically, politically, etc.

USA would lose its place as #1, and maybe even counterattack.

just a suggestion ;)

Who ever controls the world controls the fate of the world. The past is doomed to repeat itself.

The French, Russians, and Germans are the ones trying to control the world, and sell weapons to terrorists. The USA is just trying to avoid those weapons killing off all life on the planet.

They do such a good job of managing their own country that it's only natural that they should rule the world.

I beg to differ. Other countries kick back and play the U.S. like pawns on a chess board when they still owe us money. We have too many people being taxed out of their homes and property to finance war when other people should be paying us back and/or paying protection. Neither one is happening---so who is controlling who?!

Because everything in the USA is based on extreme competition, so we feel we have to be better than everyone else.
