I know it is extremely scary for all pet owners. But I've only heard of the recalled pet food only being in wet and gravy foods. Dry is fine. For now at least. Keep watch.

The full list came out Friday. It is still only the wet 'cuts and gravy'. I don't feed my animals any "food" that was on the list. They all eat Royal Canin. I do - or did- have some dog treats that were "Authority" from PetsMart, again, not the exact type of food, but the brand name was enough for me toss them. They still are not sure how wide spread this is, just not taking any chances. Toss your Iams, read the back of it first. Aside from this whole rat poison scare, the ingredients alone will probably make you want to toss it. If your feeding Iams, you could pay about $1.00 more a pound for food that doesn't have roadkill in it! Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, all overrated, read the backs and ask your vet!

According to the website, it's 'only' the moist food in cans and satchets/pouches that's poisoned. Apparently dry food is okay.
However, if I was feeding a dog or a cat at the moment, frankly, I'd only feed fresh meat from your local butchers.
All these cat foods are recalled -

The last report I read said it was just canned food but I would get rid of ALL food from that company just to be on the safe side. Its not worth the risk!
