It is in San'nohe County, Aomori Prefecture.
In 1955, the village merged with another village, Nozawa, and is now called Shigoh village.
Some do say the term, Herai, comes from Hebrew, but information related to this mysterious place once being claimed to have a grave of Christ, is unsurprisingly scarse.
Yet, there are many books (written in Japanese), which describes this very interesting matter with lots of evidences.

Without a little more information we can't even do a search in Japanese. If you knew the Kanji, we could find it for you. Do you know what prefecture it's in? Do you know what city it is in?

Any extra info would help.
