I've had to have this done twice now...the second time being back in October.

You will be fine, however just as someone else here said, bring someone with you. More than likely you will have local anesthesia but it made me feel quite loopy afterward.

For my own personal experience and please know that I am not trying to scare you, the first time I had this done, it was not pleasant for me. Therefore, when I found out that I had to have this done yet again back in October, I had myself so mentally and emotionally worked up that I was a complete mess. And the second time, well, it wasn't bad at all.

You will experience some discomfort and some bleeding (they give you a pad). Just take it easy the day of procedure and you'll be fine...I promise.

It isn't a walk in the park. I will say it's uncomfortable.
You will experience some bleeding - but it shouldn't be to bad all around. If you have childbirth to compare this too you will do just fine. The wait here (fear of the unknown) is the hard part.

Good Luck!

No its not painful but it is uncomfortable. Doc can order you a calm down pill before if you ask,but please have someone else drive and stay with you. Dont worry about bleeding, the doc will use silver nitrate to stop all bleeding. I had this done in 04 due to abnormal cells. Have since had hyst. Dont be scared, take care of yourself. I am here if you need someone to talk to about this. My name is Dee and I live in AL. my email is deefortheday06@yahoo.com. God Bless
