I do get excited when I get great customer service, and I become a loyal customer of that company and I tell all my friends and family about it!! Sometimes I call that company and thank them for their great service. I think that way they'll keep up the good work. Some people however don't deserve it. My sister works in customer service in a bank, and she went out of her way to help this guy. A couple of weeks later she had a car accident with a lady who turned out to be his wife and he didn't even say something nice to her. I think showing a little gratitude doesn't hurt anyone. Bye=)

Why would they get mad that you posted theire customer service number? Was it hard to find or something? I get the feeling that some places make the customer service numbers hard to locate just so people won't contact them. On a related note, the ebay customer service number is notoriously impossible to find and people are always asking about it. So my friend posts their number in the forums to try to help people out and ebay freaks out (because they want that number to remain hidden so people will not call them) and sends him a nasty letter and suspends all of his ebay accounts and bars him from ever registering on ebay again!!! Hows that for customer service?

Yes, and often I will tell the person that they are doing a great job. Maybe more people will understand that they too should be a good cust service person if they hear another getting some well deserved praise.

I am a Californian. One time I went up to Oregon for a few weeks. I could not believe how outstanding customer service was. Everywhere I went people took their time with me and made me feel important. It really is a good way to increase customer loyalty.

Yes I do and I know what you mean. Customer service generally sucks but sometimes it is because of the customers behavior to the employee.

Yep, and now think about how you will be loyal to that establishment from now on.
I turned down a mortgage loan with a better interest rate the other day because the guy I was working with was such a jerk.

I do not get excited, however I am pleased when i see great customer service. Everywhere you go, you should get great customer service, if not consider whether or not that buisness/product is worth your stress.

It's such a rarity they will probably make it a national holiday as soon as you mention when it happened...
The best part is they call this a "service economy"
