I'm not sure what you mean by your question. A Bachelor's Degree typically requires about 120 credits, or about 4 years. A Master's Degree (in most disciplines, including English) takes between 30 and 36 credits, or about 2-3 years. So, the basic timetable would be 6-7 years for a full-time student, longer for a part-time student. Is this what you're asking?
