My sister is an All-Star cheerleader. The team divides the girls by age group. She is 13 and she practices with 11-13 year olds. When she leaves the house she's wearing a shirt (with a sports bra underneath) and shorts, which I can understand. But then when she comes home every time she's not wearing her shirt, instead she's just in a sports bra and shorts. Why do girls take their clothes off at practice. I don't get it? And it's not just my sister, because when I've gone w/ my mom to pick her up, other girls are without shirts too. I know it's not a rule, because their are girls who do wear shirts the whole time.
1 - It's know it's not too hot in their cheer gym, because I've been in their to pick up my sister.
2 - It's an all girls cheer team; No boys are around at all at any time.
3 - They're 11-13, so they don't have big breasts yet, and so they have nothing to show off.

When working out it gets hot. It wno't feel hot to you cuz you're not the one moving around.
Little girls are easily influenced by what they see on TV. I noticed you posted a question about your sister 3 times. If it bothers you this much maybe you should talk to her... or your mom.
Little girls see women on tv in bathing suits and slutty outfits and think that is what they are supposed to look like so that's what they try to be, cuz they want to grow up. They don't realize what they're doing is bad. They see older cheerleaders and maybe big sisters do it.
Be a good big brother and set her on the right track if you're worried.

I am an all star cheerleader and people on my team do it too. They are not showing off. I know for a fact the gym may not be hot but they are! They are in there sweating and working there butts off and just so happen to be very comfortable with there body and not mind taking off thier shirt. There is nothing wrong its like being in a bathing suit. A lot of all star teams uniforms also are cropped, there is nothing wrong with it.

A lot of women and girls won't admit this, but as females we strive to impress each other... and that doesn't start when we're older, it starts when we're younger. 13 is primetime. Although these girls are not fully developed, they ARE developing and the desire to look cute has already begun. It doesn't matter that there aren't any boys around... it makes us feel good when our friends tell us we look cute; it makes us feel good when we get the "thumbs up" from another female. As we get older and boys/men come around, it get more competitive... but it is still the inert desire to be approved by other women. It's relatively easy to impress a guy... not so easy to impress another woman.
In addition to all of that...... yes, it gets hot in the gym doing all that running, jumping and general physical activity that cheerleading requires. So the shirts come off. Plus the different moves and jumping, lifting etc. are easier to do when all you have on is a sports bra... your movements are not restricted by excess material.
You may not like it but your sister is getting older and going through puberty and although she is still a young girl, she's not a LITTLE girl anymore... you're going to see a lot of changes. Try to be more understanding and not so judgmental.

Well realistically they are more likely than not:
1) Able to more easily do their manuevers (flips, back handsprings, roundoffs and the like) in their sports bras than in a t-shirt. There is less restriction without the sleeves of a t-shirt.
Honestly how many cheerleading outfits have you seen with sleeves?
2) The hour or so of exercise they are getting flipping around and such is a full body workout and they've sweated and their body has heated up, so naturally they shed clothing to get cooler. I'd imagine you wouldn't want to keep a dripping sweaty t-shirt on either.

COME ON! He is a kid. There is NO reason to insult him. Granted it may not be HOT in the ROOM, but all that movement can probably make it feel very warm. If you have ever run in cold weather with all your clothes on, you know by the time you get to your destination, you are about ready to strip down to your unmentionables. I doubt highly that they are showing off. I think that with their high metabolisms and all that exercise, they are genuinely warm.
I know little sisters can be a pain-so can brothers-but try to just let it go and give her the benefit of the doubt.

You do get hot when you're cheerleading! And some girls also just like to wear just their sports bra...it makes them feel sporty and cute, even though there aren't any guys around. It can also make them feel "grown-up".

Maybe they are hot because their doing vigorous exercise you idiot. Like when boys play sports outside it may be cold but they still get hot and take their shirts off because their doing sports and get hot.

I think its a trend
They think less is better but as they mature they will realise the reverse is true and to get the right sort of attention more is always the best way to go with clothes
