Get a life and get on with it . . . . . once you leave school and enter the real world, you won't know what's hit you.

You shouldn't be nervous about entering middle. Nothing in life is ever what you expect for it to be, thus, there is no point in stressing yourself. Just go with the flow, sign up for the proper classes, go shopping for book covers, pencils, and what not, and then try to learn and have fun. Avoid becoming an emo, a goth, or ghetto. And most importantly stay off the drugs. Don't get in fights, and try to do best with your school work, because your middle school performance will indicate how you will do in your high school years. Most importantly, stop stressing out.

Ohh, I've been there. Don't sweat it. I'm a senior in high school and am going to college next year..talk about freaking out! Anyway, the biggest problem when I was in middle school was it felt like everyone was insecure, wanting to be so grown up, etc. Just don't get involved in experimenting w/drugs, alcohol, or that sorta thing. Find your true friends and stick w/them. Don't worry about those big, bad seventh and eighth graders. If you're worried you won't be able to handle it academically, just ask your teachers for help if you don't understand something. Most of them will be happy to help you. Overall, just stay true to yourself. This is a time to be happy, carefree, and just enjoy life. Try not to worry about it..it's just middle school!

Mostly just try to be confident in yourself, and make sure to have lots of fun with your friends. Maybe try to befriend an older student. It's good to have friends in high places. Don't do drugs, they're stupid and screw up your life. Try to focus and keep up with your school work. Remember that things will get better in high school. I'm in 9th grade and being in high school is fun and so is middle school. Good luck!

First and foremost, do not fall for the blather the middle school teachers spout, namely, that everyone is gifted!! That is nonsense, and common sense dictates it is. Rather, discover your own strengths, build on them, and work on your weak areas. Take advantage of the opportunities the school, offers to expand your knowledge and social bases. Be your own person, and don't be afraid to speak up and be heard (courteously and intelligently). Good luck!!

just be nice and fun and people will want to get to know you. dont be scared to talk to people or ask teachers for help. join sports and stuff.
i was scared to but middle school ended up being better then elementary school, im made so many friends and it wasnt as scary as i thought.
and remember everyone ( and i mean everyone! ) is feeling the same way as you. everyone gets scared before going to middle/high school. your not alone!!

Avoid eye contact.
Don't let them smell your fear.
Always look down when walking through the halls
That should help!
