Because they are tired of having sex. Once you get married, it doesn't happen anymore.

They are? Hmm, I didn't know! They are probably getting married because it's part of the 'supposed to's' that middle class kids get you know, go to college, find a partner, get married, buy a house, have some kids, get a divorce...okay just kidding on the last one! Some of the people getting married genuinely love eachother though and just want to work towards spending their lives together.

Health insurance and social security benefits if you hang in long enough. Other than that, no real reason to do it anymore. Marriage has changed there really is no value in it anymore. It is so easy to get out and the failure rate is huge.
Why fix something that isnt broken, if it works without marriage... let it stay that way.
