I mean they pick apart every little thing you do and tell you that what you are doing is wrong and isn't normal. Who's to say what is normal and what isn't normal? They make it almost seem as if they have perfect lives.

Most of the therapists I've had were nice, but.... I pay them a gazillion dollars an hour to listen to me, but my best friend charges nothing. Also, I've noticed that they tell me what they think I should do, but never ask me what I want to do. I've given up on the whole therapy thing.

It is a therapist's JOB to analyze your behavior! And it isn't relevant that their life isn't perfect - they're trained to study and correct the pathological behavior of others, that does NOT mean that their life is perfect!

Would you get mad at your auto mechanic for talking about the problems your car has? And would it matter that the mechanic's personal vehicle has problems with it?

They say to be a good therapist it helps to be a little bit crazy, so if your therapist is perfect, ditch her and find another one!! There are plenty of fish in the sea. If they irritate you they are not helping you, you have to half-way like them to have any kind of rapport with them.
