Helicopter goes slower and slower until almost stopped then electronic explosion, then guitar starts, da da, da da, dada da, daaaa.... it's driving me crazy, cant think who done it!!!!

Metallica had a song called "One", from their album "And Justice For All...". The album was released in August, 1988, and "One" became their first-ever music video. There were helicopters featured in the beginning of the song, and then the slow guitar comes in as you described.
