It really depends on what you're looking for.

For First-Person Shooters both Timesplitters 2 and 007: Nightfire are hard to beat.

For Driving games the two-player Gran Tursimo 3 is worth it. If you want more action then I would seriously recommend getting hold of MASHED for PS2, which has been known to stay on my PS2 almost all evening when I;ve had friends around.

For a more 'party' feel - Eyetoy play 1 and 2 are well worth playing. Super Mario Party on the Gamecube is good fun and back on the PS2 the BUZZ!! quiz games with their nifty little buzzers are also excellent.

For fighting games - just take a look at any of the WWE games - four way or tag matches can keep a group of people occupied for plenty of time, as can the Royal Rumble option. Rumble Roses is a little more accesible but lacks a four player option (and may not suit all tastes - but what the heck).

I almost forgot to mention - the mini-games on Super Monkey Ball are great fun - hours of fun can be had with Monkey Target alone.

Well it depend on your console, if you have a ps2: timesplitters 2 & future perfect is awesome, coming in close is Ratchet and clank 3, James Bond nightfire and from russia with love is alright if you are into strategic games. Burnout3 and Burnout revenge are the best racing games for carnage, mahyem and speed. Pc: Worms 3d is funny and it's easy to manipulate the controls. Thats really all i have but i am sure others have told you about other consoles that have good games.
