Ram booster 2 as all similar products ultimately swap your memory to your hard drive (pagefile). Your harddrive is about a million times slower than your ram.

Honestly RAM has become so cheap I am shocked that these softwares are still out there.

Many people believe they need more RAM because there computer isnt running as fast as it used to which is usually because of malware that gets installed inadvertantly while surfing the net. If this is your case you can try to run and install spybot and adaware and run them to clean many spywares but in general the best fix as in the best results is to reimage your machine (Reinstall windows from scratch not on top of your current install).

If you dont have enough ram to do what you are wanting to do then what happens is that extra calls to memory (RAM) will be diverted to your pagefile which is on your harddrive which will make your computer run very slow. Many times malware is programmed poorly and will eat up your memory meaning that you will be constantly be using your pagefile/harddrive to do everything you need to do.

If none of this is the case for you then I recommend you spend $50-$100 and double your RAM. RAM is the easiest thing in the world to install, there is only one set of slots it will fit in and it will only fit in one way. Further more most computer manuals will outline how to upgrade the ram.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

Don't use software ram boosters - they do not work. The only way to add RAM to your system is to physically open it and put some more chips in there.

Nothing comes for free, as they say. Hope that helps.

Optimise your hard drive and settings so you're making the best use of the RAM you've got. Cut down the software that loads on startup, if you don't want to use MS Config use Winpatrol or Ccleaner.
