I only pay about $50 a month with Cricket and that is unlimited local, unlimited long distance, and unlimited text, and that price includes $5 for insurance, just in case the phone is lost, stolen, broken, etc...I think $100 is ridiculous..just look at your bill very closely and make sure they are not charging for something that they shouldnt be. Good luck!

the first step would be to look over your bill closely. if you still can not figure out the problem then i would recommend contacting cingular over the phone the number is 1-866-CINGULAR.
If you are still confused then I would suggest going into a corporate store and have them look over the bill and explain what they say. keep in mind that they can not do credits in the store so if there is anything that needs to be credited customer service would have to take care of that.
Good Luck :)

Take a look at your bill from Cingular, although the way the bill is structured, it may be difficult to figure out, (I think they do that on purpose) but you should be able to find why your bill is over $100.
The next best thing is to call the Customer Service Department at Cingular (now AT&T) and politely ask them.

That's way too high for what your plan is. I'm with T-Mobile and pay around that with 2 phones on a $59.99 family plan, $20 unlimited text for families bundle, internet on 1 phone, and insurance of $5.99 on each phone. Look over your bill very closely for something out of the ordinary. Sounds like they're over charging you for something. Are you sure they shut the other phone off? They should have done that when you reported it stolen. If you are unable to find anything, call their customer service and ask them to go over the bill with you and explain it.

Cingular does not care about your disability so that is irrelevant.
Check your bill in detail to examine all the charges. It is possible that it could be that high after they throw in the mandatory federal & state taxes, other fees, and charges you might have for any other services other than insurance (i.e. unlimited text messaging, web access).
Your bill will detail whether you're being charged for minutes or not. Just check it out, and if you think you're being robbed (or don't understand it) just give them a call to go over the bill.

No way. You should NOT be paying that much per month. I have a cell phone and I only pay about 15 every 3 or 4 months. Very cheap and it's a nice phone. Not a camera phone but, I already have a digital camera. If you want the plan and phone I have it is a virgin mobile oystr phone and they come in the colors of green, pink, and white. They are very nice and again, it's only about 15 dollars every 3 or 4 months.

My bills run over $400
Who knows. Maybe it is because I have 3 phones and 2 online computers.
Could be your text messages are out of hand. Go over to Cingular and look at your statement.

Since I have a Tracefone, I don't pay monthly. However, the minute cards that I purchase are about $20 before every due date(which is about three months after I put minutes on the phone).

Check your bill VERY closely and see what the charges are for. My home phone runs between $100 and $125 depending what international calls I make. But if it's all legitimate charges then since you are on a fixed income you may just have to do without, or use prepaid like most of us on fixed incomes have to.
Maybe the calls you make are in areas that are "roaming"?
