Long distance relationships can work, but they demand constant work for both parties. You have to show each other that you love each other - just as if you were together....

I knew of a father, for exaple, and his son. Not quite the type of relationship you're talking about in here, I'm sure, but bear with me...

Okay, so the father couldn't really see the son. The mother never really wanted any connection between them. She was bitter for the divorce and all, and so she took care of the son since he was a baby. The father, however, always tried to know where the son was living at any given moment.

Once the son turned around 17 or 18, and once he was deciding to go to college, the father tried to contact him. And the son was curious, of course. He had his doubts, but he also had at least half a brain to at least have a conversation with his old man.

Eventually, they met at a restaurant. And there, additional to all the stories the father told his son, the father pulled out an envelope. Inside it was a check to pay for the college tuitions.

The father made sure to save $50 every month, and more money if he could, from the moment the child was born, all the way to the day he turned 17. So it added up, you know? And the tuition was paid.

It shows that the father remembered, always, at least once a month, and regardless of the distance or contact betwee them.

Before they left the coffeshop that day, the father told the sun to walk outside with him, and said something like...

"Look at that sun, okay? That's the sun that Columbus used to guide himself several dozen years ago. That's the same sun that Shakespeare looked upon in between plays. That's the same sun that has shined over the shoulders of Socrates and Jesus. I'll make sure to look at that sun before it fades into the sunset. And if you want to, you can look at it as well. And then you will know that we are together, sharing something together, doing the exact same thing, regardless of the distance, okay? Good luck in school."

Yes it works up to emptying your pockets to make STD/ISD calls.
Long distance relationships success rate is very low...if compared to short distance relationships.
Drinking a glass of water by sitting here is better than drinking milk or juice after taking a long run.
What I feel...Is not it?
