side split stretches:
1st stretch:take a thick book and put it down on the ground then put one of your feet on it and go down into the splits position as far as u can and hold it there for like 2 minutes and switch legs.then do it without the book.
2nd stretch:put one leg straight in front and the other leg fully bended and try to touch your foot that is straight and hold it for like 1 min then switch legs.
3rd stretch do the splits as far as u can down and hold it for 1 or 2 mins and switch legs.
4th stretch:if u can do the splits then hold your front foot for 30sec-1min then sit straight and bend your back and extend your arms backwards and do it with the other leg.
5th stretch: do lunges
middle splits:
stretch:do it as far down as u can and hold it there for 1 or 2min and rest for a few minutes and do it again.
and yoga would help

I had been a ballet dancer for the past 3 years and a lot of the people could do their spilts. What i had been told was it takes time and you need to practice all you can. For some it takes only a month but for some it can take years to learn. I have no idea how felxiable you are so i do not know if this could take longer than 2 to 3 months to learn. Also if you can try and find books, dvds, or anything else that may help you in doing the spilts. I have been practicing mine for a little over 1 month and still only see slight progress so i hope this help. Keep up the good work and next thing you will know you will be able to do them and be like wow this is so easy

Just stretch!!! If you really want to be more flexible, you eventually will be! Try to stretch everyday, and gradually push yourself further and further. Good luck!!
P.S. I noticed your picture is of a dancer too!! Does it bother you that the girl's shoulders are up by her neck?!!! Definitely un-dancer-like!!

the more you stretch the more flexible you will be...don't try to over push yourself at one time just stretch your legs as much as you can during free time that you have and your split will come to you...i used to have mine then i quite and now i stretch a lot when i can and i almost got it back

stretch your splits all the time and after do your over splits. just get a mat or a flat surface that is about 6inches tall where you can rest your foot on. this will help stretch you out more. keep stretchin!
