how to adjust floats on 1980 yamaha 1100 sg?

took off carbs and want to know the right hieght because last carb keeps rolling out with gas

--Float bowl off.
--Fuel turned on.
--Lift the floats by hand.
--Adjust the floats so the fuel stops flowing when the float arm is parallel with the carb/float bowl mating surface.
--If the fuel won't stop at all, change the needle & seat.

make sure you didn't put the float on upside down,you can say that you didn't do that but 90% of the time people install these thing upside down and that is what happens
