IT depends on how you look at it. If you look at it through history of course it belongs to white people. At the time they were the more aggressive and more stronger military force. They beat the Indians by any means necessary to obtain the land.

Now if you look at who was here first, of course it belongs to the American Indians. They lived here and defended their land the best they could. If the world had any monetary meaning to do so, they could force America to give the lands back to the Indians or a part of it and declare it its own country just as they did with Israel.

But just know no land belongs to anyone persay we are all just here for a length of time and at anytime, the USA can fall just like the Romans. Seeing as history always repeats itself, this can very well be the case..

So the simpliest answer to your question, is how do YOU view history?

I think the American Indians MAY believe that they are a PART of what is the land and environment.. Not so much that they own it...
who owns it ? well who owns England? The Vikings? the romans? the celts? the English .. Man's migratory path has taken all to all parts of the world.

NOBODY really owns anywhere, we are all but inhabitants and would be better to recognise that instead of creating bad blood over an issue that has no real resolve.

ONE thing though .. you mentioned American Indians and WHITE people .. what about the REST of people .. what about Blacks and Asians.??? White people and American indians ARE NOT the only residents of america.
