right hand thread . the hub can be removed with a slide hammer if nothing else is available however if bearing replacement is the goal here you should remove the spindle as a sub assembly and preform this operation in an arbor press or take to a local shop that has a "HUB TAMER" brand tool kit [fast and easy] and least likely to damage surrounding parts. note some tool rental shops may have one of these for rent good luck

to take the nut off,you should turn left(towards the front of the car)
