i have recently increased the number of radiators on my heating circuit. also have repositioned the hot water pipe from the arga because of an extension. since carrying out this work we seem to have a problem with the heating vent pipe pouring into the header tank. this only occurs when the arga is on its highest tempreture. any ideas please.

By increasing the number of radiators, you have increased the amount of water in the system. The water is not circulating quickly enough therefore when the Aga is on it's highest temperature, the water is expanding quicker than it can be circulated, and exiting through the open vent.

You will need to either increase the pump speed, or, dependant on the size of the system, replace the pump for one with a higher flow rate.

Hope this helps

The pump is causing the water to flow up the expansion pipe and flow into your header tank. Try to turn down you pump to a slower speed, or increase the height of the expansoin pipe.

I think you should have got a professional to do the job for you. Why not contact one and get him (or her!) to fix the problem?
There's more to it than ordinary logic, and a trained person will know what went wrong.
