Same goes for yard sales. My neighbor was having a yard sale once. I went to his house and started to measure his yard. He wanted to know what I was doing. Told him I needed to know what size it was to see if it would fit the spot I needed it for. He asked what I meant. I said, "Well you are having yard sale aren't you." We both had good laugh. Next time he had one, his sign read "Anything in the yard sale."..

Just tell the truth, it's not the end of the world. In the future, don't even start up your car with the garage door closed, that's not safe anyway. And you know what, I just thought of a good lie for you. You started up your car, you got distracted and started feeling really sick, from the "exhaust" and the next thing you know, you hit the garage. It still sounds stupid, but he might have some sympathy for you....Yeah, better off to tell the truth. :)

Stupid people why say Garage sale if they are not selling the garage. I say sue them for false advertisement that will teach them.

Maybe you misread the sign and it was a yard sale or a white elephant sale

I don't get that either. If you're not going to sell it, why advertise it? I bet if you offered them enough, they'd sell it. Go back there honey, make an offer. You go get yourself that garage.
