Remarriage? whats that? you need to be a superstar or a famous personality to remarry and not be taunted and haunted.
Indian social setup is still the worst with too much interference in each others lives. Why talk about only 60+, even if it is a female aged 25 who is widowed, chances are that she will remain single rather than getting married.
It is not only about remarriage, it has also a lot to do with arranged marriage, 95% of the marriage taking place are arranged, out of them 60% don't live up to the expectations of both the partners, but still they continue to live with each other.
My uncle and Aunt did not talk to each other for 24 years living in the same house but never even thought of divorce.
We need to break the shekels of inhibitions and be more prepared to define our Martial needs.

In my opinion 60 and about can remarry. but ti is better to have a living relationship. other wise his conduction will be verse.because if the lady is greedy she may try to get his property or pent ion she may not hesitate to kill him.same the man also do the same to the women to get her property.. these times marriage has become very UN dependable.they wont face any problem from the society

If you are in need, you can do that because one must have somebody to look after and to share. But the question is whether any body will get ready to marry to a person who is 60+, then one has to marry only from matching age group. Rest about society, naturally they look in a different way, but why to bother, after all it is your life. But one more thing, better to turn any body's face towards God, who is in the age of 60+, if he is not really not in need of physical help.
