9*14 = 126
-6 * -21 = 126
i have spilt the middle term
you can proceed
9x^2-6x-21x+14
=3x(3x-2)-7(3x-2) = (3x-2)(3x-7)

9x² - 27 + 14
Find the sum of the middle term
Multiply 9 times 14 equals 126 and factor
factors of 126 = 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 14, 18, 21, 42, 63, 126
- 21and - 6 satisfy the sum of the middle term
insert - 21x and - 6x into the equation
9x² - 27 + 14
9x² - 21x - 6x + 14
3x(3x - 7) - 2(3x - 7)
(3x - 2)(3x - 7)
- - - - - - - - - - -s-

9x^2-27x+14=0
divide by 9,
x^2-3x+14/9=0
(x-7/3)(x-2/3)=0
(3x-7)(3x-2)=0
hence,
9x^2-27x+14=(3x-7)(3x-2)
i hope that this helps

again i want to tell answeres there is no equality of zero in your problem just factor :
(3x - 2 )(3x - 7 )
check for middle term
-6x + -21x = -27 x ok

the formula does work here
x= (-b(+/-)sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2a
here a=9, b=-27, c=14
x=(27(+/-)sqrt(27^2-4*9*14))/2*9
=(27(+/-)sqrt(729-504))/18
=(27(+/-)sqrt(225))/18
=(27(+/-)15)/18
==>x=42/18=7/3 or x= 12/18=2/3
u may use the 2 brackets
(3x-7)*(3x-2)=0

= (3x -9/2)^2 -81/4+14
= (3x-9/2)^2 -25/4
=( 3x-9/2-5/2)(3x-9/2+5/2)
=(3x-7)(3x-2)
