I had asked for a source on how much of the proposed budget is for democrat pork and earmarks, which no one seemed to care about or could find. This article is the tip of the iceberg.

Now rather than just cutting the funding for Iraq the dems slickly pile up billions of corrupt waste on the taxpayers to force bush to either go along with the waste or veto. this is evil, these people are destroying this country.

This is criminal.

timothy - I was screaming and yelling about the spending being criminal, you see I care about the country, not your puny little partisanship

dv4 - you obviously do not care, and thanks to that kind of attitude our country is going bankrupt, or perhaps that is what you want.

Yes, it is wrong and yes, I do care.

Have you ever wondered why it takes so long to send a bill through congress? Its because everyone in congress wants to get some pork project passed so they can get their pockets lined with campaign contributions/kickbacks. Even the "non-binding" resolution is a good example of this. You would think something like setting a timetable for withdrawl would fly through a democratic controlled congress. I think the best thing we could do for this country is to impose term limits on all members of congress.

Crazy waste of hard-earned money.

It's dreadful- none of their hair-brained schemes ever work. No one in the business world would ever fund what current governmetns do. The last time the US had someone in power willing to spend on worthwhile projects was during the Hoover dam era.
If government truly were a private enterprise- it would have been bankrupt years ago- the people who run it are less capable than some trained chimps.

Dreadful. In the UK- our tax revenue is supposedly flowing in at £1 million per minute- and for some reason they never have enough we're getting taxed more and more! Where can it all possibly disappear to?
Fecking ridiculous!

That was a poorly written article. It was also an editorial so it was mostly opinion. If you seriously want to bring to light corruption at the very least try to find an article with sources or a quote.

to your point.
I do care but i am saying that by using polarizing articles with no substance you are only showing a shell of a problem. how can you be upset at something with no proof or facts to legitimize the claim? If we go and fight every shadow an editorial puts on a screen how can we see the real thing?

see below for a well written article on pork spending

I saw the same article and was outraged as well. Fiscal control and government spending is quickly becoming the greatest threat to this country.
Bush and his cohorts have managed to spend $2.9 trillion more since year 2000 than taxes collected. During the same period, the GDP grew $3.4 trillion. That was a 34% growth in GDP and a 53% growth in national debt.
Now the democrats are using the Iraq blunder as a means to fund more of their pet programs and run the debt even higher.

It is wrong, and not only Dems, but Rep. too. When they spend millions to build a bridge to an island that nobody will use, that is criminal. That was not too long ago in Alaska.

you relatively can't be extreme right here! a million. providence income tax became tried. undergo in strategies Carter? --Jobs went distant places, exploration stopped, long lines on the pump and 17% loan fees? Oh.. the forged ole days 2. even in the journey that your figures are maximum magnificent (its certainly closer to 4% earnings) Your Saviour of government is making 15% between State and Fed taxes. (and that they don't do a damn element to get it out of the floor) there is your "providence"!! while public coaching fails to teach economics one hundred and one and the regulation of supply and demand, the democrats can rail against "huge oil" and the ignorant will have faith it. They knew it might in no way bypass and that they don't love it to. All they needed became for the Rebuplicans to dam it (which they might desire to) so as that they are able to declare.."see! they're keeping huge oil!" Get genuine. the sole element which will replace the cost is the regulation of supply and demand. and not one element the dems have EVER performed or ever will do will produce one extra drop! invoice Clinton vetoed the ANWR invoice in 1995 or we would have it NOW. Thats a million million barrels an afternoon = 27 million gallons of gasoline an afternoon! . merely from ANWR! ideal now, the elementary-experience mindset became introduced to the homestead Appropriations subcommittee to open our offshore sources to drilling (the place Cuba and China are already drilling). wager what.. The Dems shot it down. Why? because of fact they're so deep into the wallet of the extremist enviromentalist (ie communist) that they don't dare do this! all the jointly as screwing the human beings who vote for them lower back and lower back. they permit you recognize what they "want" you to have faith, not the certainty. it is politics. No shame in being ignorant, in basic terms staying that way!
