Another vocabulary problem ;) (construction building this time)?

Question

You know, there is a guy who inspects all the works being done, makes a checklists and tells if everything was done ok. For example, if you have somebody to paint your house, you will be de person doing this task. Now tell me, what it is called: "acceptance of works"?

another one: if the person responsible for such a thing does not bother to say yes or no - and keeps the working people uncertain about it - there must be a provision in an agreement to regulate such questions...

what should I write:

If the Orderer does not ********* to ********* acceptance....

I think you are referring to a construction foreman. You might also be thinking about a building inspector or contractor.
