Something is troubling you.
If you want the dreams to stop, next time, say out loud in your dream: I am not scared, I'm going to help the person in trouble.
Before you go to sleep, think about the dream and envisage your self saying that......I bet you never have that dream again

By continually thinking about this dream, you are telling your subconcious that it is important. This may be why the dream keeps recurring.
Every time you think of this dream during the day, say to yourself "It was just a stupid nightmare". And then think of something pleasant that you like, such as ice cream or playing with a pet or some other activity that has pleasant feelings attached.
You can change your dreams. It does take some practice. But as soon as you realize you are dreaming, think to yourself, "There is that dumb dream again". And try to direct your dream to the pleasant activity that you think of during the day.
If doing this does not help, try to identify your feelings that you have in the dream. Other than being frightened, what else do you feel? Helpless? Angry? What do you want to do in the dream? Run away? Hide? Help the person?
Then try to figure out what in your life that may be going on that has the same emotions.
It may be that this dream is highlighting some emotion or fear that you have in your life. Are you insecure about something, or angry about something?
It may have an underlying meaning, or it may just be a dream.
Dreams are the minds way of dealing with thoughts and emotions that we have. Just like the bowels and kidneys transfer waste out of our bodies, the mind removes waste through dreams.
I hope these suggestions help and I wish you luck.

A dream recurs if you don't get its message the first time. The message might be that there is a lot of violence in the world, even though you don't see it so it's not a part of your life. But at some level, knowing this makes you horrified. Come to accept that the world is not a happy place in many areas.

I think you're a scared of something.... has there been an incident recently where you saw/heard about people beating someone up? Stop thinking about this dream and try to forget about it. Before you go to bed, read a book about something happy, so yo'll go to sleep thinking about that. I hope this helps.
