Is Ed Lauter homosexual?

Just something I heard from a friend. He was on Revenge of the Nerds II, Real Genius, X-Files, Highlander

Well, Lauter has four children. He attended college on a sports scholarship where he played baseball, football and basketball and he spent two years in the army.

But, I don't suppose any of those things prove he isn't a homosexual.

I do not know if he is homosexual; he never struck me as being so but then again, I have only seen him in TXF episode "Space". My guess is no.
