My favorite anti (computer) virus is my Apple Macintosh computer. Macs do not get viruses, spyware, trojans etc because Macs use the same operating system, UNIX, as the FBI, the CIA, the NSF, and large companies. For UNIX much time and money is spent preventing the start of such nuisances.

AVG by Grisoft is definitely NOT "The Best". Unfortunately one of the things it is not the best at, is doing what is is supposed to do, detecting viruses!

In short, AVG is crap!

etc. etc. etc, ad nauseam. AVG has proven itself to be a mediocre performer at best. Absolutely crappy at worst. Missing almost 20%, when trying to detect known malware, in some tests. Not to mention almost non-existent heuristic detection and infrequent "once-a day" updates.

AVG = Average, at best!

There are much better free alternatives, such as Avast, Active Virus Shield, and Avria Anti-Vir.

I like best the AOL Active Virus Shield. Don't let the name AOL fool you. Active Virus Shield is made by Kaspersky which is one of top-rated anti-virus vendors in the world.

In recent tests, the most popular free anti-virus, AVG, was only able to detect about 82% of a very large sample of viruses. On the other hand, Active Virus Shield was able to detect better than 99% in the same test.

Dr Web for my main work PC because I once had a virus and after searching all the solutions Dr Web was the first to have the cure.

Avast free for this laptop and AVG free for all my other laptops and PCs.

For the body try garlic, crushed and eaten raw.

Grisoft AVG Internet Security 2007 Edition
Free one is nt bad but AVG Internet Security 2007 is one of the Best i think. and Spciality of this Antivirus is it doesn't hang me an my PC when Scanning. 90% Antivirus always make me hang (Norton, MaCafee).

well run an EICAR TEST on these so called good antivirus pgms and se what happens lol you want small free and powerful* if its for home use you can get the entire pgm free from alwil software its called avast it does real time scans as well unlike the crappy ones I see mentioned here, i have tested them lol and would never reccomend using them... unless i really didnt like someone much... but everyone has that 1 they learned how to turn on and they swear by it lol sad huh.......... rem to give tehm your emai for the FREE registration key, its that simple poof done im outtie.......
