4.65 billion years and the Earth was formed from the excess amterial ejected by the sun after its 'birth' (which had formed from a previous star) gravity slowly grabbed onto these clumbs, until 1 became 2, and 2 became 3 and so on. pounding by meteoriets also increased the size of the earth.

wikiepdia says "Earth formed as part of the birth of the solar system: what eventually became the solar system initially existed as a large, rotating cloud of dust, rocks, and gas. It was composed of hydrogen and helium produced in the Big Bang, as well as heavier elements ejected by supernova explosions. Then, about 4.6 billion years ago, it's assumed a nearby star became a supernova. The explosion sent a shock wave through the solar nebula, causing it to implode. As the cloud continued to rotate, gravity and inertia flattened it into a protoplanetary disk oriented perpendicularly to its axis of rotation. Most of the mass concentrated in the middle and began to heat up. The infall of matter resulted in kinetic heat; its inability to escape caused the cloud's centre to heat up, enabling it to fuse hydrogen into helium. The result was a T Tauri star, the early Sun. Meanwhile, as gravity caused matter to condense around dust particles, the rest of the disc started to separate into rings. Small fragments collided and became larger fragments.[2] These included one collection approximately 150 million kilometers from the center: Earth. As the Sun condensed and heated, fusion began, and the resulting T Tauri solar wind cleared out most of the material in the disc that had not already condensed into larger bodies."

NO GOD INVOLVED

Well I suppose you could go through all the grand scientific explanations; like some, making bold claims based upon theories, which are essentially good guesses and ideas. And then throw in the audacious "No God involved" thing for ludacris reasoning. Now back on track, all of it sounds great, but where are the beginnings for the said materials which created gasses, stars, the earth, etc..?
Perhaps keeping an open mind thirsting for greater intelligence and understanding is the best idea.

That's a really tough question. Do you want the Biblical version or the Scientific version? Chances are they both meet somewhere in the middle depending on if you are looking for the spiritual or material interpretation.
