Sometimes. People seem to think that they know you better when you have a problem, and sometimes you don't want advice all you want is to be listened to.
I feel that the only person who knows you best is you. If people are trying to suss you out, just take it with a pinch of salt and carry on with your life.

Yes but I like to know what others think in terms of appraisals performance at work that sort of mainstream thing, otherwise if it is personal attacks then just avoid the beast(s)

Just what the hell does that MEAN anyway? You've been living with yourself your entire life. How can ANYONE (except for God, of course) have any idea of what you are or what you're about?

No because it is always worth listening to feedback from others and often other people can see you more clearly than you see yourself.

I KNOW...
Like if someone asks you if you did something, and you say you didnt, and they dont believe you. No point in asking then is there! and they say "Well... i know you." ... Yes but I know ME better than you do!"

No, LISA, it's just a ploy to try to lift their own self image. People who put you down are just trying to bring you down to their level. Look at them that way, and you'll have no more problems.

you know there are those people who just spend their whole time giving advice like you are the one who always needs some.. i cant stand this.. it kills me especially when the person seems to be thinking she or he knows so much more about life than you.. the way to switch positions is to just listen and wait for the person to slip then, go for the killer "advice"!!! lol..i know its miserable...
