I'm very sorry for your loss. Car accidents are a very common occurence, and fatalities are among the top in the world. However, the chances of you dying in an accident are very slim. Especially if you are aware of that fact. Your driving safe will definatley influence your chances. Bear in mind that most people travel by car every day. If it makes you uncomfortable (which is perfectly natural), then it's completely fine to avoid cars for a while. Don't torture yourself if you're uncomfortable. On the other hand, don't use this tragedy as an excuse. If you stopped doing everything that ever hurt anyone, you wouldn't be alowed to do anything ever. Value life instead of fearing it.

Go get counciling....or get in your car, take 5 deep breaths, start the car up and drive. It's like if you get bucked off a horse the only cure is to get back on. This is going to get easier for you as time goes by. Take baby steps and drive just to the market. Take your time and drive the speed limit....Good Luck....you can do it....!
